Suitable for absolute novices. This project is great for the beginner and those who don't like the idea of using a naked fame for soldering. It is all about enjoying the process and creation of texture and pattern.

Come along to the Katy Wilkinson Jewellery studio at Unit 1b Old Swan Yard, sit down at your own personal jewellers’ bench and make yourself a textured or patterned silver cuff/open bangle. You can add texture and pattern as you wish using various tools and techniques including pattern/letter/date stamps and texture hammers. Practice your mark making by creating a copper version before you go ahead and make your final cuff from sterling silver.

This class includes use of all tools, tuition and guidance and the materials needed to make a textured silver bangle or a single charm bangle. Any extra materials used or required can be organised in advance or will be chargeable on the day at £2.50 per gram of silver.

Skills learnt: Texturing, patterning, some filing, finishing.

The important stuff:

• Please arrive 10 mins before the workshop in order for the us to start the workshop on time and for you to go away with a beautifully finished piece of jewellery
• Tea, coffee and biscuits are included on the day
• Aprons will be provided 
• Please bring your own water bottle for your bench
• Do wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty
• Don't wear any loose fitting clothing
• Do have something to tie long hair back with
• You must enjoy yourself 😊!
